Make a funky bottle-cap table!
I’m always looking for some way to express my creative side. Since I’m not artistically gifted in the usual sense, I need something easy that doesn’t require much talent. This may just be my next project. I have been collecting wine corks for a long time and I really don’t know what to do with them all~until now.
Instructables has step by step instructions on how to create a simple mosaic tabletop using items of interest and thick resin. The finished product looks like the ones you see in popular pubs. With this technique and your creative mind, the possibilities are endless!
1. Collect bottle caps or any small items of interest
2. Find the table
3. Lay out your design
4. Begin gluing
5. Preparing your surface
6. Build a barrier
7. Cover with resin
8. Voila!

not that sad, sorry dave.
hahahaha
This doesn’t involve a Commodore 64.
what’s that? nevermind, i’ll look it up dennis.
Hmmm, wine corks, why not a cool message board for the kitchen? You can get some nice fancy “food” themes pins for it or better still get some of the old antique cork screws instead to pin messages onto it!
i’ve thought about that too loon. dont think i know what old fancy cork screws look like but you may be onto something here loon.

for push pins? c’mon, get off the crack loon!
Hello, some of your corks will already have corkscrew holes
hello! corkscrews are for losers loon….
I wonder how many times he practiced that before he got it right?
who knew that was even possible?
its a fantastic technique. to show your personality
i know, i could resin over thumbnail images of all trippin’ with rip! regulars. yeah that’s the ticket!
That seems like something that would be pretty interesting to make. I knew a guy who used to make picture frames out of old cigarette packs.
hi george, i’ve seen something similar with cigarette packs. i think i have just the right table. this time, i’ll take a before and after pic. ( i always forget to do that) thanks for surfin’ over here today.
I made something kinda’ like this for a buddy. Only it was a small wall hung deal. And I covered my bottle caps in polyester casting resin … which, as it turns out, will really mess you up – er, is rather … aromatic !
hm..sounds cool as a wall hanging now that i think about it. so i’m gonna get buzzed and create art simultaneously? doesn’t get much better than that.
youre looking a bit pale spilledink, where’s the color in your cheeks?
